Eastport Financial held our annual turkey drive again this year, handing out turkey dinners to families so that they can celebrate Christmas at home. Another amazing event, and the drive was full of Christmas cheer spread out over two days. This year, we served the Halifax, Dartmouth, Bridgewater, and Lewisporte, Newfoundland areas.

The community of Lawrencetown Beach is working towards a professionally designed and built skatepark. It will be a place to accommodate a large demographic, including the local community, beach visitors, skateboarders, surfers, young and old.

The Jonathan David Wayne Lewis Foundation in partnership with Glen, Marylin, and Matthew Hebb, have completed the Indian Garden Farms Hiking Trail, in Hebbville! The scenic trail is 5km round trip and is open to the public.
On Dec 17 we had our 12th annual turkey drive. Our biggest yet, since the need was so high this year. All made possible by the many many volunteers and donors. We were able to provide a turkey dinner to 700 families in the HRM, Bridgewater and surrounding areas.
Each year, our staff generously donate their time to organize the Annual Eastport Turkey Drive. It’s one of the ways we give back to the community, and this year, despite the added challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, we raised $21,350.00 and bought 650 turkeys, sacks of potatoes, stuffing, bread, frozen vegetables, and dessert!

Took some pizza and some ice cream sandwiches and a Christmas surprise (a gaming station...shhh...that was Ryan’s idea and a brilliant one at that!) up to the guys at the Teen Challenge Center today with Paul MacNeil, Ryan MacNeil and Tim Sleigh. Although we didn’t have much time to spend with the guys I think it was one of my favourite trips out of the past ten years up.

On June 8, 2019 our Eastport team of family and friends participated in the Scotiabank Bluenose marathon to support some fantastic charities. The organizations we focused on are; Teen Challenge, Souls Harbour, Youth Unlimited and the AOJ school in Guatemala.
We are so incredibly grateful for the people in our lives here at TC!!!! We are thankful that our friend, Jonathan Lewis has been bringing the "3S's" (Steak, Sports and Servants Hearts) to us for several years. We appreciate the friends that he has brought and partnered with to make it one of the most anticipated evenings of our students programs! The fellowship,encouragement and time that you share is an amazing gift. The steaks are an added bonus; thank you from the bottom of our hearts (and stomachs)!"
Had a great time in Memramcook hanging with the gang at the center and playing some Friday night football. The 9 yr dynasty of undefeated road trips came to and end with a score of 28-21 in favour of the guys at the TC center but spirits were lifted as always on both sides of the field!! Awesome men and Awesome time!!
