Took some pizza and some ice cream sandwiches and a Christmas surprise (a gaming station...shhh...that was Ryan’s idea and a brilliant one at that!) up to the guys at the Teen Challenge Center today with Paul MacNeil, Ryan MacNeil and Tim Sleigh. Although we didn’t have much time to spend with the guys I think it was one of my favourite trips out of the past ten years up.
Everyone was full, smiling and we had the chance to hear one of the guys share is story and how God has been helping him overcome addictions in his life. I love the honesty of these guys. No pride. Just brutal truth. And then moving on together supporting each other. I love Teen Challenge and the hearts of these people including the staff who serve.
